Thoughts On: Better Call Saul Episode 2, Tight, Tight, Tight

Maybe Walt and Jessse got started before we thought...
Let me start by saying that it took Breaking Bad about 6 episodes to really pick up. It's hard to say where Better Call Saul is on its momentum scale (given that its a prequel series), but its definitely getting there. This episode really solidified how much Saul's life sucks, and reminded us how much Tuco doesn't like being punked...

Tuco Trauma:
This episode made one recall the time when Tuco beat down his friend to death in Breaking Bad (leaving
Walter zoned out flipping channels...snap). But on a more positive note, at least Tuco has always been a great cook...

The New Guy:
Tuco's new voice of reason ain't in BB, so he's first on the chopping block...Watch him be related to crazy 8...

Saul's Soul:
When one crosses paths with Tuco (let alone shakes hands with him), you can be sure that your gona end up breaking people's legs and taking them to the hospital afterword...and just like Walter, Saul's need for money is going to ensure he does business with Tuco's man.

I was surprised how fast this episode felt (and by the way, that court room montage could have been shorter). Mike, enough waiting, join the plot...
