6 Thoughts On: Games of Thrones S5E7...

This season is almost over and after having veered away from the source material, I'm still feeling somewhat underwhelmed. But there's still hope. A fateful meeting, and a looming battle will at least set the stage for a great season 6. For now....

1. Tyrion Meets Dany:
You know what, had this been any other season, these two probably would have met on the finale. Thankfully we're going to get some meaningful dialogue between the two. I'm just hoping that Tyrion got all his whining out because Dany won't have it.

2. Cersei Finally Gets Hers:
You know, we really needed this. Cersei has annoyed the crap out of everyone from day one. However, I have a sneaking suspicion that she'll find her way out of this little situation.

3. Sam Finally Gets a Break (ish):
Yes he got beaten down in this episode, but... After having played second fiddle to Jon Snow since season one, and single handedly killing a white waker, same finally sealed the deal with Gilly,

4 Thoughts On: Mad Max...Fury Road

I'm not gonna lie, when I first saw the teaser for this movie, I had doubts. In fact, I wrote a whole post about how awful I thought it was going to be. I was wrong...

Thats literally how I felt watching this movie, but in a good way...
1. The Action/ Stunts/ Pyrotechnics:
This had some of the best action scenes I've witnessed in a long time. We now live in a world where movies basically look like cartoons because of how much CGI get pumped into them. While this movie wasn't free of that at all, I just didn't feel like it over relied upon it for the major chase scenes.

2. Could Have Used More Max:
I certainly sympathized most with Furiosa which is why they should have named this movie...Furiosa: Fury Road. While there wasn't anything wrong with Tom Hardy's performance, he could have used a little more dialogue.

3. The Plot:
I should have hated this plot because they should have called this movie...There and Back Again:

Thoughts On: Game of Thrones...S5E6...

I love this show, but to be honest,  it's not really satisfying me...

1. Jaime's SEAL 6 Mission:
This unfolded really cheaply...
a) Jaime and Bronn sneaked into the palace just like that
b) Jaime and Bronn walk all over the grounds with terrible disguises with out knowing where Myrcella is, and...
c) Myrcella's in the middle of a kiss and is resistant to go...
d) The Sand Snakes show up at the perfect time to ruin everything...
That scene felt like an entire cliche.

2. How Come Everybody is Getting Captured This Season:
Tyrion and Loris got Captured one way or another some episodes ago. This episode saw even more of that. Tyrion and Jorah both got captured by slavers, Jaime and Bronn got captured by Dornish guards,

5 Thoughts On: Mad Men Series Finale

Was this the greatest series finale ever? No. Was it terrible? Well no. While not leaving everyone happy, it gave us enough to ponder, here are 5 thoughts on the Mad Men series finale...

1. Joan Wins at Life:
Considering how she's been treated over the course of the show... Joan really needed a break. Unfortunately her career in advertising and new boyfriend are history. But with her new production company comes more possibilities, chief among them is that she's in charge. I get the feeling that Peggy should've gotten the ending Joan did...

2. Roger Had Nothing to do all Season:
Aside from fighting with Megan's mom and leaving his son money, Roger really could have sat this

2 Thought on Dragon Ball Super: That Will Never Happen...

I'm just as excited as any DBZ fan to see this sequel series. Rather than gripe about there being too many Super Saiyan transformations, or the lack of non Saiyan characters, Iv'e decided to contribute some random requests for the series...Even if it pretty much won't happen...

The Scouter:
DBZ characters stopped using these a while ago (they'ed always explode when someone's power level got too high). They should introduce a new one that can read higher powers. Why should they bring back

Thoughts On: Game of Thrones S5E5...

My thoughts on Game of Thrones Season 5 Episode 5...

Dany in Mereen:
Ok, I realize that Dany has problems in Mereen (political turmoil, insurgency, death of her advisor)...but I'm really over her being there. The encounter between her, Jorah, and Tyrion better be worth her ongoing stay...(which will probably get longer now that she's going to marry that guy)

I officially Don't Care About Whats Going on in King's Landing:
Sure Cersei has a new religious movement under her grip, but the tension caused by Joffrey, Sansa, and Tyrion's (and at one point the threat of attack) presence was always a major point of interest.

Thoughts On: 3 Shows That Deserve a Reboot...

Remember that feeling you got when you found out Fox was bringing back The Killing? Or that other feeling you got when you found out Netflix was brining back The Killing? Thats what this short list is all about. There are some shows that simply deserve to be given new life...

When the aliens abducted Tigertron and Airazor I was so pissed...
1. Beast Wars (1996-1999):
If you were to watch this show today it would look ridiculous. A high school senior could
probably make those 3D animation during lunch. Regardless, Beast Wars had an amazing story and strong characters. It takes place in the future (after the original Transformer series) and follows a crew of Maximals (no longer called Autobots) who are chasing a Predacon (no longer called Deceptacons) ship. They go through wormhole and crash-land on a mysterious planet...that looks a lot like prehistoric Earth...could it be? Over the course of the show, both factions battle to basically get off the planet. The characters endure

Thoughts On: Game of Thrones S5E4...

Well another episode down, and this time we got some casualties...Here are 5 thoughts on Game of Thrones episode 4...
Weeeeaaaaaakkkkk...

1. Lady Melisandre's Wardrobe:
We all knew she had magic powers, but I didn't know that included the ability to repel cold...because as we learned, even in the north, she's not wearing much...

2. The Faith Militant and Tommen:
Just when I thought Cersei was out of the game...But will she be able to contain these radicals?...and freaken Tommen is useless, if Joffrey had been there he'd of killed all those guys gaurding the church...never thought I'd miss him...

3. SEAL Team 6:
I'm glad Jaime and Bronn got there fast, because there's some characters on this show that take forever to cross bodies of water...Jaime better not get himself captured again, because there's nobody in King's Landing left to rescue him...

4. Jorah and Tyrion:
To be honest, I'd been wanting to slap Tyrion this entire season...thanks Jorah.

5. Son's of the Harpy Attack:
Barristan didn't deserve to go out like that...but does this open up room for Jorah to come back into the fold? Grey Worm better not die, because this show doesn't have many side characters to spare before they kill off the important ones...Plus he makes for a great body guard...

This was another solid episode, next week better give us dragons...

4 Thoughts On: The Avengers: Age of Ultron...(Spoilers)...

Let me be clear I don't read the comics, so I have no concept of how closely the movie followed the source material. That said, I was entertained by this metal crushing, earth threatening movie, but not impressed. Here are the first of many random thoughts on The Avengers: Age of Ultron...

1. The Terminator
The A.I. premise has been done many times...nothing wrong with that. I understand the Ultron comics predate The Terminator, (and The Terminator ripped off of Harlan Ellison's work), so no one can accuse the premise of being unoriginal... but...I'm not gona lie, the delivery of this movie felt a lot like Terminator (The fact that Terminator:Genysis is almost here and has a similar color palette doesn't help)...anyways. To
