Thoughts On: 3 Shows That Deserve a Reboot...

Remember that feeling you got when you found out Fox was bringing back The Killing? Or that other feeling you got when you found out Netflix was brining back The Killing? Thats what this short list is all about. There are some shows that simply deserve to be given new life...

When the aliens abducted Tigertron and Airazor I was so pissed...
1. Beast Wars (1996-1999):
If you were to watch this show today it would look ridiculous. A high school senior could
probably make those 3D animation during lunch. Regardless, Beast Wars had an amazing story and strong characters. It takes place in the future (after the original Transformer series) and follows a crew of Maximals (no longer called Autobots) who are chasing a Predacon (no longer called Deceptacons) ship. They go through wormhole and crash-land on a mysterious planet...that looks a lot like prehistoric Earth...could it be? Over the course of the show, both factions battle to basically get off the planet. The characters endure
It may not look like it...but she's actually terrified...
everything from alien visitations to philosophical musings on war and peace. A rebooted version of Beast Wars, with up to date animations, and a longer plot would be awesome. Bring back the voice actors too because I would recognize Ratrap's voice in a crowd any day.

2. Murder She Wrote (1984-1996):
This one was about woman named Jessica Fletcher, who wrote crime novels and lived a nice comfy life in Cabot Cove. Unfortunately Cabot Cove has a higher murder rate than San Pedro Sula, which led to Fletcher demonstrating her detective skills. In a perfect world, I'd have Angela Lansbury come back as Fletcher...even at 89. Second best would be a reboot. There was talk of a similarly themed version in the works with Octavia Spencer, but as of 2014 it ain't happening. It would be fun to see how a modern Fletcher would operate with smart phones and Facebook...and snap chat.
3. Jericho (2006-2008):
I've heard a lot of rumors over the years regarding Netflix bringing it back...so far it hasn't happened. That said I would love to see the original cast come back and continue the series. Second best would be to Reboot it. In case you never saw it, Jericho starred Skeet Ulrich as Jake Green, who after returning to his home town of Jericho, Kansas, witnesses a series of nuclear attacks against major U.S. cities. With a bigger budget and updated visual effects, this could be a great show. Plus it helps that The Walking Dead and Doomsday Preppers have given the post apocalypse more hype...This was also the first show I ever saw Lennie James (he's Plays Morgan on The Walking Dead) in...and to this day...I still call him Hawkins...

Well there you have it...Expect another list with more shows that should get a second chance...
