Thoughts On: Better Call Saul Episode 9...Chuck Why?!

Well episode 9 of Better Call Saul put everyone in a happy mood...and by that I mean it didn't.  Despite the big case Jimmy has stumbled upon (and all the work he put into building it), luck never seems to be on his side...here are my thoughts on this episode...
Maybe Chuck was just jealous of his brother's suit...

1. Nacho Appears...and So Does His 20 Bucks:
let me start by saying that I wanted him to get more screen time.  I was also hoping he would join the plot...that didn't happen. But it is interesting to note that (according to Mike) Nacho is buying pills behind Tuco's back...will that be important? Seems like Nacho is making a habit of making deals on his own...first the Kettleman money, now the pills...

2. Chuck Disrespects the
University of American Samoa...and Jimmy:

5 Thoughts On: The Walking Dead Season 5 Finale...

Well, season 5 is behind us, and this episode was definitely one of the better ones. Just venting...but unfortunately father Gabriel wasn't one of those whom we lost...my thoughts...
No matter what happens, Rick always ends up killing
somebody with this same look every season...

1. Morgan is Officially Part of The Walking Dead Plot...ish:
The wolves shuffling through their
Walking Dead trading cards...
Who would have thought that a character who has appeared so little on this show would have so much hype behind his entry into the plot. I didn't think it would take this long but oh well. Unfortunately he came
upon Rick just as he was executing someone (with walker blood on his face no less). My only hope is that
Morgan will stick around...although he did say on Talking Dead that he could't confirm he'd be on for more than an episode...

2. The Teaser for Fear The Walking Dead:
It was brief but more than enough to keep me interested. What better way

3 Thoughts On: Spectre 007 Teaser...Bond Vs Landa

Daniel Craig is the best Bond since Sean Connery, you know it and I know it. While I haven't been crazy about any of the Bond films after Casino Royale, Craig's take on Bond has truly set a new standard. This new teaser is making me pretty hopeful considering that Craig will square off against Christoph Waltz...here are my thoughts on the new teaser...

You know you thought the same thing...
1. Bond Will Cry Some More:
...which is a good thing because (a) it makes him more real and (b) it usually means he'll be taking out a lot of anger...One look at that photo (of his brother?) even had me feeling PTSD...

2. Christoph Waltz Is The Bond Villain We've Been Waiting For:
Casino Royale and Quantom of Solace were a little weak in the

Thoughts On: Better Call Saul Episode 8...Chuck Get Back Inside!!!

While the show presented another problem in the form of Jimmy's new fraud case...I'm starting to wonder where the show is taking me... I'm really hoping the outcome of the case, for example, becomes something greater than just being a one off case. On an unrelated note, and with so few episode's left, I might as well say it...I want another flash forward. The flash forward must at least include something that (a) advances the Breaking Bad plot, or more preferably (b) ties into the Better call Saul plot...or even more preferably (c) both. Anyhow...my thoughts...
Is that Chandler's toilet?

Where's Nacho?:
Seriously where has he been? I thought Jimmy's discovery (both times) of the Kettlman money would bring Nacho back into the story... This episode didn't make me feel like he'll show up any time soon.

Shredded Paper:
I haven't seen anyone put shredded

Thoughts On: The Walking Dead S5E14...Michonne Nooooo...

At first this episode was kind of a snoozer...and then it wasn't. We really needed things to pick up this season and it's looking like thats only going to happen on the season finale. My thoughts...
Many viewers missed the zombie cupid who shot
Carl during the episode...

Puppy Love...Zombie Style:
Both Rick and Carl got some romantic action on this episode. Carl and his new girlfriend shelled out every cliche in the book...funny how that hollow tree had room for both of them...and funny how their love made them totally invisible to zombies. Rick had a slightly harder time landing his date...

Sasha Is Officially Annoying:
Where was she going? who knows...but at this point I wouldn't be following her around. This is a

Thoughts On: House of Cards...Season 3 Wrap Up

I know this season of House of Cards was good because it made me manipulate and betray everyone in my life. It's time to look back and think about the moments that will stay with us...
Why can't Jenny just stay...

The Russian President's First Visit:
There was more sexual tension in that White House than during an entire season of Lost...or during the entire Clinton Administration. That kiss between the Russian President was super awkward...

Rachel Was Alive, Then Dead, Then Alive, Then Dead:
...call me a sucker, but I really thought she was dead, and so did Doug...Then she showed up in the

4 Thoughts On: Better Call Saul Episode 7...Good Ole Kettlemans

This episode really showed me the difference between Jimmy and Saul (and Walter White for that matter) in that... Jimmy is constantly trying to do the right thing(ish)...and Saul launders money... Here are my thoughts on this episode...
Now I know where Mike got his skills from...

1. Tio's Bell:
Did you hear it? Tio Salamanca's bell was rung during the bingo scene. I'm thinking we'll see him soon...

2. Rear Window, Mike Style:
The scene where Mike watches the Kettleman's house was a tasteful

Thoughts On: The Walking Dead S5E14...Gabriel Why?!?

Well this is what I get for complaining that the show is slow and sleepy. Tonight's episode killed off some characters, made me hate others, and reminded me, as expected, ... that Rick's gona have to kill somebody to get something done...

1. Dubstep In The Apocalypse:
No one in the van was worried that playing that music might attract zombies? It seemed to do the trick when Eugene needed it to...I guess zombies have selective hearing...

2. Noah's Gone Too Soon:
Yet another character that has been killed off before (I feel like) I got to know him...The show didn't make me take his death too seriously

Thoughts On: Zoolander 2 Walk Off Announcement...Blue Steel...

Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson announced the sequel to Zoolander by walking onto a Fashion Week runway...in character. I really needed this...15 years is a long time to wait for Zoolander 2...Is this a movie sequel that should happen? Yes absolutely... This ain't gona be Anchorman 2, or Meet The Fockers...

This Might Be One Of The Most Awesome Movie Announcements Ever:
Literally walking down the runway in character...It just needed David Bowie...

Mugatu And Matilda Will Be

Thoughts On: Better Call Saul Episode 6...Mike Earns An Emmy...

This was the Mike episode we've all been waiting to see...going foreword I can only hope that we'll see both Mike and Jimmy get mixed up with Gus...my thoughts...
It was like The Departed, but with Mike...

I Learned How To Unlock A Car Door:
Not that I would ever need to do that...but lets admit it, that was awesome...

The Veterinarian:
Even the vets in Albuquerque are dirty...I thought Mike was going to take him up for a job...I'm sure he'll be back...

Mike Was Dirty Back Home:
Looks like Mike broke bad before he

5 Thoughts On: The Walking Dead S5E13...zzzz...

This show can't keep doing this...While not quite as slow as that episode where everyone was thirsty on the road...it was
borderline...my thoughts...

1. Are We Supposed To Trust Alexandria Or Not?
So last week I was creeped out by Jesse's husband, this week he's a nice guy...last week there were like 5 people in this community, but now there's a whole party's worth of people. I'm still not sure whether to trust this place, this episode didn't offer a clue either way...just more kind gestures and an awkward disregard for patrolling the walls...

2. Rick And Daryl Are Got Soft:
Who would have thought that spaghetti and motorcycles would make Daryl play nice and refuse

4 Thoughts On: Independece Day 2, Roland Why???...

Let me start by saying that I don't think this movie should be made. Recent developments for Independence Day 2 look like this movie will not only suck, but that it will really suck...and I still hate the title (ID: Forever, Part 1)...
Noooooooooo

1. Jessie Usher and Liam Hemsworth:
I heard Jessie Usher won't even be playing Hiller's stepson in the movie, which is a slap in the face. Liam Hemsworth is the wrong actor for this movie. I get that it's 20 years later and we need people from a new generation, but if your going for a lesser known actor in Usher, just cast another relative unknown... Otherwise It would just feel like Hunger Games again...

2. No Will Smith:
Ever since he danced with M Night, his career has taken a nose dive. This is the role he needs to get

Thoughts On: Disney's Lego Star Wars, Droid Tales...

I'm really struggling with this one. Disney has decided to release a 5 episode Lego Star Wars series leading up to The Force Awakens. The show take place after Return of the Jedi and will recount the previous 6 movies from the perspectives of R2-D2 and C3PO. This really brings back an old debate started by the prequel series...Is stuff like this a good idea? I have two sets of thoughts...one as a fan of the older movies...and one as a defender of the new generation...
How do you feel about this?

Perspective 1...It's a Dumb Idea:
The last time this series was dumbed down for the younger generation...we got Jar Jar. We don't need a Lego version of our beloved series...Not only that, R2-D2 and C3PO are not the first characters I'd pick to make a show about...

Perspective 2...It's a Brilliant Idea:
We all want this movie series to be celebrated and appreciated forever...which means appealing to the younger generation. Seeing as how popular The Lego Movie has been, why not serve Star Wars to kids in this way? With any hope, they will love The Force Awakens even more...

I happen to think that the prequel series is an absolute abomination (except the duel of the fates...hands down amazing lightsaber battle)...Yet, considering that there's nothing we can do to makes those go away...it would be more painful for Star Wars to fade away than to have some less favorable incarnations running amok...What do you think?

4 Thoughts On: Better Call Saul Episode 5...Chandler...

This show is still in its formative stage, which is why I forgive some of the slower parts. Tonights episode wasn't high risk, but it still moved things along neatly...
Looks like he took the case after all...

1. Chuck's Allergy:
Given the special emphasis placed on Chucks electromagnetic fears, I'm hoping it impacts the plot in some way instead of just getting in the way...or maybe to our surprise...Chuck will get better...

2. Jimmys Clients:
All of the people Jimmy met are exactly the sort I'd expect Saul to take on as clients, yet interestingly,

5 Thoughts On: The Walking Dead S5E12...Trust No One...

Well the group has entered Alexandria...and as expected, I don't trust anyone one of the 7 or 8 people living in this place...Here are the red flags from tonights episode...
Turn back!!! or keep going for plots sake...

1. Ricks Beard:
The loss of Rick's beard was the symbolic red flag of the night. Should he have shaved it? probably not...seeing as how this episode's main concern was getting soft...Rick might have needed that rugged beard...

2. Where Is Everybody?:
This place has managed to get by with clean houses, a handful of people, and video games? I don't
