           The first look at the Fantastic Four reboot is out. I was less struck by what was shown, and more by how it was shown...that is, this teaser seemed very familiar...my thoughts...

3 Thoughts On: Star Wars Snub

           Days ago it came out that George Lucas was totally shut out of the making of  The Force Awakens. This has caused a debate as to whether this was the wisest move (the movies quality could be at stake...right?). Should his ideas for Episode 7 have been considered?... no, here's why...

1. The Prequels:
Maybe if one of the prequel movies was bad, then I would definitely have put Lucas on Episode 7's Jedi Council...but all three were bad. Anyone who has heard Belated Media's version of Episode 2 will tell you that George Lucas could have...and should have...talked to

3 Thoughts On: The X-Files Reboot

           This could be the greatest idea since sliced bread if done correctly...or not. Despite how bad X-Files: I Want To Believe was, we all lined up to go watch it. Why? because Mulder and Scully together again is always going to be something we want to see. A series reboot will be no different. So long as Chris Carter can get the two of them on screen again, all the fans will follow. But say the new rumored series wanted to actually be good...here's how they might go about doing that...

Forget the Old Story:
This show was two things...monster of the week, and alien conspiracy subplot. But lets face it, the alien aspect of the show got so carried away it left a lot of fans confused. The last season of The X-files basically became the blueprint for what Lost would turn into. No fan tuning in to a new X-Files season will want to pick up where any of the alien invasion plot left off because most fans won't remember the details surrounding it. Plus the show would be risking any hope of snagging new fans with a confusing plot like that.

Don't Start off With or Include Other Agents:
The whole reason anybody will tune in is to see Mulder and Scully again (ok and Skinner), There should be no passing of the torch aspect to this show... so don't bother us with...
1. New young agents
2. Annoying doubtful supporting agents
3. The liquid metal Terminator
4. Agent Reyes

Keep The Intro Sequence, The Music, and the Location Font:
If that whistling theme isn't exactly as it was, I won't watch the show. I would say keep the entire credit sequence, the only thing that needs updating are their badge photos. The in show music should also be exactly the same, no exceptions...and every time theres a new location, I better see that white writing on the bottom.

           So there you have it, all you need to make The X-Files ready to fight the future (see what I did there?).

Thoughts On: The Walking Dead Season 5 B... What's Next?

Leftovers cross over...

           The second half of The Walking Dead season 5 is on the horizon. This is a show that has had it's ups (Woodbury attack, both of them) and downs (the farm). Season 5's first half was enough to keep me watching, especially the Terminus opener. After that, the show killed off characters I felt should have lived (longer) and further reinforced my expectation that Rick has to bail everyone out. That said, I don't want Rick, Daryl, or Michonne to die just like every other fan. Considering I've never opened the graphic novel, and considering I've successfully avoided all spoilers, here are my thoughts...

Thoughts On: House of Cards Season 3...What's Next?

           The Oscar predictions are coming...but while you wait...some thoughts on House of Cards, which is a month away...This show is based off a 1990 British drama, which is based off a 1989 book series, that said, I have intentionally avoided looking either up so as not to ruin what will surely be a great season. I really didn't see Frank becoming President this quickly...and I really didn't see him getting on the previous President's good side after he was really super not on his good side. Here are my thoughts on the upcoming season...and Cashew better survive this season...

Thoughts On: Golden Globes 2015

           I'll keep this brief. The 2015 Golden Globe Awards weren't that great. Yes these are usually long, but this one felt pretty darn long...and Margaret Cho's North Korean persona was kind of uncomfortable. Anyhow, despite all this, there were three thoughts I came away with...

           The Golden Globes are upon us...Lets just get to it...

Best Television Drama:
All these shows did well, but... House of Cards was next level in its second season and should win. Downton Abbey for example, forfeited any hopes of ever winning when they lost Mathew Crawley in season 3... Game of Thrones had a good season, but Tyrion's never-ending jail time won't be enough to bring home the gold...

Best Actor, Drama:
I would love Kevin Spacey to win this, but he won't. Spader won't
