Thoughts On: Movies Set In The Future

2015 is finally here...and with it have come countless comparisons to the Back to The Future II timeline. No flying cars, no hydrated pizza, and no Mr Fusion. Instead of writing my own thoughts on the 2015 timeline comparison, I thought I'd stay ahead of the game and look at movies down the line. Maybe Back to the Future promised you hover boards, these movies predict a whole lot more. In order from most recent, here are my thoughts on these movies... set in the future...

Inception, 2016:
You thought the Sony hack was bad?
Expect that next year the NSA, the FBI, North Korea, and Martians will be finding ways to hack your mind... and expect that Joseph Gordon Levitt will find the elixir of immortality off screen...

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, 2026:
expect apes, duh...and an un-killable Gary Oldman...and a sort of wimpy Jason Clarke...

Children of Men, 2027:
If you should try and get away from the U.S. to greener pastures, don't go to the UK...especially if you plan on having kids. Also be ready for commercial suicide kits, and high levels of xenophobia...

Terminator: Genysis, 2029:
Expect that Earth's remaining humans and apes will combine forces to battle machines...and expect that over the next 3 years Jason Clarke will have become the leader of humanity...
Joseph Gordon Levitt Looper Bruch Willis Back to the Future
...and we thought Biff had the almanac...

The Book of Eli, 2043:
Expect that Gary Oldman will somehow survive the explosion from Planet of the Apes to rule his own town...only to be outwitted by a blind man...

Looper, 2044:
Expect that Kansas and China will survive the next 30 years to become the sets of Back to the Future II except with more eye drops and Joseph Gordon Levitt who has managed to not age since 2016...

Well there you have it, all you can expect from Earth in the next 30 years. How much of this will be accurate? Its hard to know,  but I would move out of the UK and strait to Kansas while you can. Become friends with Jason Clarke, Joseph Gordon Levitt, and Gary Oldman because they will survive killer diseases, nuclear war... invasions by apes and machines. Your welcome...
