Thoughts On: Golden Globes 2015

Do you see it? Anna had the Golden Globe all along...
I'll keep this brief. The 2015 Golden Globe Awards weren't that great. Yes these are usually long, but this one felt pretty darn long...and Margaret Cho's North Korean persona was kind of uncomfortable. Anyhow, despite all this, there were three thoughts I came away with...

1. Random Screen Guy Blog Predicted (just barely) that Anna From Downton Abbey Would Win the Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama:
Even though I called it...I didn't think
it would actually happen. While Anna has always been a reliably likable and reassuring character on Downton, she did have an exceptional season. Mr. Bates should be proud.
Now I'll have to prove my worth come the Oscar nominations...

2. The McConaissance Has Truly Ended...
I really hoped that Mathew would get the gold Rusty so deserved, but it wasn't to be. The string of success last year, which saw him snag Golden Globe and Oscar wins, an Emmy nod, and the Sci-Fi hit Interstellar (which were still trying to understand), belongs to the ages.

3. Jennifer Aniston's Hopes of Having a McConaissance are slim:
Jennifer' fits the Mathew McConaughuey pattern in that... she's known for her romantic comedies and would really blow people away if she did something more serious, which would lead to her getting a major role in Dallas Buyers Club Part 2, True Detective season 3, and Interstellar 2. Her loss at the Globes indicates that her chances are not good...

Now the Oscars are all that remain...
