Thoughts On: Better Call Saul Episode 9...Chuck Why?!

           Well episode 9 of Better Call Saul put everyone in a happy mood...and by that I mean it didn't.  Despite the big case Jimmy has stumbled upon (and all the work he put into building it), luck never seems to be on his side...here are my thoughts on this episode...

Maybe Chuck was just jealous of his brother's suit...

1. Nacho Appears...and So Does His 20 Bucks:
let me start by saying that I wanted him to get more screen time.  I was also hoping he would join the plot...that didn't happen. But it is interesting to note that (according to Mike) Nacho is buying pills behind Tuco's back...will that be important? Seems like Nacho is making a habit of making deals on his own...first the Kettleman money, now the pills...

2. Chuck Disrespects the
University of American Samoa...and Jimmy:

Chuck's words belittled Jimmy to a painful degree. I'm not entirely sad about it though because this was probably Bob Odenkirk's best performance ever. I never would have imagined that Jimmy's decent to the dark side would come as a result of his brothers betrayal.

3. Still No Flash Forward:
There's only one more episode in this season, and still no glimpse at the Breaking Bad timeline. The season finale can get away with being good without a flash forward, but including it will take the show to the next level...

           So far this season of Better Call Saul has been like watching that episode Breaking Bad where Jesse gets kicked out of his house, gets his bike stolen, falls into the porta potty, and sleeps in the RV...but for a whole season. While there's nothing wrong with that, I'm hoping that the season finale shows us a turning point in Jimmy's fortunes...lets hope it comes in the form of Gus...
