Fear The Walking Dead Episode 2: Best and Worst...

Fear the Walking Dead has definitely brought up the pace...and the walkers. This episode really made me wish Rick hadn't slept through everything in that hospital. Here are the best and worst from episode 2...

Best:
1. Tobias Should be Promoted to Rick's Group For Being So Prepared:
Tobias further proved his value on tonights episode (Saving food, asking for and using his trusty knife, major props). If a cross over with The Walking Dead occurs, he deserves to make it there. So far he's single handedly predicted how good this season would probably be while proving how much the rest of the characters have to learn. More screen time for Tobias please...

2. Madison's Reaction to Killing Zombie Artie:
It was a bit odd last week when Madison and Travis' reaction to running over and seeing zombie
Calvin was like me reacting to my car not starting. This week gave us something much better. After killing zombie Principal Artie, Madison goes home and breaks down (the way she did over her son in the first episode). It was a great scene that served the episode well.

3. The School Setting Worked:
The zombie action at the school was pretty great. Those empty halls really added something. In fact the whole thing reminded me of The Faculty, but with zombies instead of aliens...

Seriously, how many SD cards does this kid carry?
Worst:
1. All the Kids on This Show (Not Named Tobias) Are Annoying and a Liability:
The kids tested my patience on this episode...
A) Chris: by ignoring his dads calls all day, attending random protests, and ultimately getting himself (and his parents) stuck in the soon to be infested city.
B) Nick: his withdrawals sent his mom on a drug hunting mission that almost killed her...and he had his sister cleaning his vomit...speaking if sister...
C) Alicia: by not having the sense to stand a reasonable distance away from her (obviously) sick boyfriend, and...by aiming her flashlight out the window to illuminate stuff happening across the street.

2. Other Very Minor Annoying Things:
A) Alicia's overall lack of awareness really bugged. She pretty much went through the entire episode
without realizing that zombies were happening left and right. Her walking down the very middle of the street with headphones on at the beginning of the episode sums things up...
B) Travis and Liza finding their son on TV was...well I didn't buy it.
C) When Travis is attending to a clearly bitten Matt he doesn't think to ask him how he got the bite...
D) I'm nitpicking with this one, but...cell phone reception...it just never seems to work during the zombie apocalypse.

What did you think of Episode 2? Any predictions for the next episode?
